Here are some things to think about when making your audition video.  These tutorials will take 10 minutes total to watch.

 

1. Framing, Clothing, Acting

This tutorial will show you what we're looking for in your news reporter/pundit audition video.  It covers camera framing, background selection, clothing styles for men and women, microphone placement, and the all important news speaking style. (Watch time: 4 mins)

 

 

2. News Makeup Tips

This quick tutorial is made by a real news reporter, with an easy-to-follow makeup tutorial for males.  Yes, men should use basic makeup.  Makeup includes a foundation cream to add color and a powder to remove shine. (Watch time: 3 mins)

 

 

3. Green Screen Lighting Tips

We recommend using a green screen for your audition video, but it is not required.  If you use one, this video has some great tips for acheiving the best lighting for the best keying results.  NOTE: If you use a green screen please don't add your own backgrounds. Leave it green.  (Watch time: 3 mins)
