CASTING CALL:

We are now accepting auditions for “online roles” in the Not From Space feature film.  Create an audition video that meets our guidelines and submit before the deadline for an opportunity to be selected for an online role in the film.

 

Online Roles are different from typical film roles because they are produced remotely and independently by each individual actor, rather than being physically present on a set with our production team.  The video material created by the actor is transferred to the Producers via the Internet to be incorporated into the film.

 

The Producers are looking for individuals who can most realistically embody the role of a fictional news reporter or satellite pundit, and who is able to meet the technical requirements for producing the role on their own, or with the help of their friends.  Acting experience is not required to have a successful audition.

 

3nd round casting deadline is August 16, 2017.

 

 

 

ONCE SELECTED FOR ROLE:

1. If you are selected by the Producers to act in Not From Space as a news reporter or satellite pundit, you can participate from your own home, or nearby location chosen by you.  Any expenses, fees, or fines incurred from using the location you choose will not be covered by the Producers.

 

2. Once selected for a role, you will have 60 days to produce the content from the date you receive the script.  If this deadline passes without your completion of the role, it may be given to someone else at the Producers’ discretion.

 

3. Once your produced video content is delivered successfully to the Producers and they approve it – that is Completion of the Role.

 

4. You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the application.  You may be asked to provide proof of your age at any time throughout the casting or production process.  If proof isn’t provided we reserve the right to give your role to someone else.

 

5. If selected for a role you must complete the Actor Form Package, which will be furnished to you by the Producers and will include among other things, release forms.

 

COPYRIGHT: By submitting a video to Completion of the Role, you grant to Borgus Productions a perpetual royalty-free license to copy, distribute, modify, display and perform publicly and otherwise use, and authorize others to use, your video for any purpose throughout the world and in any media, including Spoofdance Awards Show and Not From Space feature film.

 

COMPENSATION: If selected for a role, you agree to donate your time and resources to produce your role in lieu of donating to the film via crowdfunding.  Each role involves approximately 1 to 4 minutes of screen content.  Production costs of completing this role are the sole responsibility of the actor. 

 

LIABILITY: By participating in this self-generated production process, actors agree to (a) release Borgus Productions, other production partners, distributors, or sponsors from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to actor’s and their associates’ participation in the production; and (b) participants waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages.  Production costs are the sole responsibility of the participant, regardless of whether their content appears in the final cut of the film.

 

The Producers reserve the right to change any of the application terms at any time or to select or not select anyone at their sole discretion.

 

 

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Applicants must go to borgus.com/nfs to fill out an online application and submit a video. Please take careful note to follow all instructions on the website.

 

1. Audition videos must be screen resolution of 1080p or higher.  The technical quality of your audition video will be judged as being the final quality we can expect from you if given the role.

• Follow our tutorials on the website and choose one of the audition scripts to produce your audition video.

• Production costs of the audition are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

 

2. Upload your audition video via www.wetransfer.com (the free version) and insert info@borgus.com as the recipient.  Do not send email attachments as they will not be opened. 

 

3. Producers will judge your video based on (a) Overall production quality and (b) Successful acting.

 

4. Limit one audition per round of casting.

 

5. There is no application/audition fee.

 

6. Must be over 21 to audition. All territories are welcome.

 

DECISIONS: We reserve the right to reject submissions, and are not obligated to cast you in Not From Space.  The Producers’ decisions are final. If an applicant is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Eligibility Requirements, we reserve the right to give your role to someone else.

 

All materials you send us (including video) will be retained by Producers and become the property of the Producers and will not be returned to you whether or not you are selected as a participant. Any expenses you incur during the audition/application process including materials preparation (videotape, green screen, etc.) are your sole responsibility. Producers will not reimburse you for these expenses.  All decisions of the Producers are final and absolute and not subject to inquiry.

 

Producers reserve the right to change the terms of the application and the production schedule at any time.  Producers reserve the right to change the eligibility requirements and any other application rules in its sole discretion at any time with or without notice on a specific, case-by-case basis or across the entire applicant pool.  Producers also reserve the right to not produce the film Not From Space at all.
